Four more commit for 2021

November 20, 2020

Moonee Valley FC is pleased to confirm four more players who have committed for 2021 - Jacob Whybrow, Paddy White, Jesse Dench and Lachlan O'Connell.

MVFC Senior Coach Shanon Carroll had the following to say on each player:

Jacob Whybrow – Coming to the FOG in season 2019 via Aberfeldie, it didn’t take long for Jacob to break into the Senior team. Possessing a basketball background, Jacob is a tall athletic type of player with the ability to play at both ends of the ground and were happy to see him progress further in season 2021.

Paddy White – The ‘Package’ returns from his community service, spending season 2019 at Strathmore and strolled straight back on to Ormond park like he had never left. A ferocious contested mark and a super shot for goal has the Juniors are waiting to see what number he will wear so they can have the same number. Good to have you back mate.

Jesse Dench – A hugely impressive preseason meant that Jesse’s fitness had gone to the next level prior to the season being cancelled. Great skills and a great ability to win a contested ground ball are just a few attributes that are going to see this great young man develop into a fine footballer and definitely an ‘X’ factor to watch for not only in season 2021 but also beyond.

Lachlan O’Connell – You just have to get excited when you see this young colt go about his business. I don’t think the little jockey in Lachy’s head can hold him back any longer and he is ready to let loose. Although hampered with injury in season 2019 the season off has done wonders for Lachy who has a great football brain with fine skills and pace to burn. He is an exceptional talent that have many at the FOG salivating.
